Toni Morrison, Nobel Prize–winning author of Beloved, gave voice to the complexities of Black identity, memory, and resilience in America. Her lyrical prose and unflinching storytelling reshaped the landscape of modern literature. I can only hope to follow her lead in creating a sacred space of storytelling.
